    Choose a safar

    Browse upcoming departures, dates and prices, and check the registration deadline.

  2. 02

    Register with ITS

    Submit the head-of-family form with every traveller's ITS number and passport details.

  3. 03

    Documents & deposit

    Bring originals to the office and pay the deposit by M-Pesa, bank or in person to confirm your seats.

  4. 04

    Sabak & departure

    Attend the pre-departure sabak, receive your allocations, and travel with the qafila.

Two centuries on this coast, one qafila

Dawoodi Bohra mumineen have lived on the Kenyan coast for more than two hundred years, and Nairobi is now home to over seven hundred families. Harambee — pulling together — is how every Faize Husaini safar is run: volunteers from both jamaats carry the luggage, lead the sabak, cook the niyaz and sit with the elderly at the zareeh.
